COMPANY INFO
Our Story
Edward G. Rahll and Sons was started in the early 1950’s by Edward Rahll Sr. The company was first located on Market Place in downtown Baltimore in an open air market with no storage where the produce was sold out of trucks right on the sidewalk. Later the company would move to Pulaski Highway in 1960, and again in 1976 when the Maryland Wholesale Produce Market was built in Jessup. Over the years the growth of our company has led us to expand to 12 units in the MWPM, over 35,000 square feet of refrigerated space and approximately 10% of the space on the market.
Now in its third generation, Edward G. Rahll & Sons continues to operate under the same family values that have helped us succeed for many years. As members of the United Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Association, the Produce Marketing Association, and NAPAR, we remain active in all the issues current to the industry. When choosing Edward G. Rahll & Sons for your produce needs, you are choosing a company that has a continued dedication to quality produce and a reliable and knowledgeable staff with decades of experience.
We have come a long way since the early 1950’s. At that time we mainly concentrated on Cabbage, potatoes, and other locally grown produce. Over the years, as trends have changed we have expanded into many different products. We are now proud to say we offer a full line of fruits, vegetables, and herbs from around the world.
